The double bed is small for 2 and very uncomfortable. Tried to sleep on the sofa instead but there was no spare blankets anywhere. The kitchen utensils weren’t very clean and needed washing before use.

Thank you for the review and we were sorry to hear a few things were not quite to your satisfaction. Noting you found the bed too small, it is a standard double and we do advise guests of the size in the lodge description on our website. With regard to comfort, the mattress has been checked and appears to be in good condition although we will keep an eye on future comments. We do find that comfort is a personal preference and can only apologise it was not to your satisfaction. We do politely ask guests to leave crockery and kitchen utensils clean and ready for the next guests. With that said, the cleaners should have picked up on this and we are sorry that it had been overlooked. It is unusual for this lodge and your comments have been passed on to the contract cleaners for their information. Your suggestion for spare blankets has been passed on to the lodge owners for their consideration. Thank you for bringing these matters to our attention and please accept our apologies for any inconvenience caused. We are pleased to note you otherwise had a nice weekend, Ewe View offers great views of the fells and is a magical place to simply relax and unwind.
