- Hen and Stag parties are not permitted at this lodge or on the Park

Reviews
We had a great stay at Footprints. The lodge is in a very picturesque and peaceful setting close to the lake. It was spacious and well equipped. However, we feel that mirrors in the 2nd and 3rd bedrooms would be helpful as it was difficult for 5 adults to get ready with the only mirrors available in the main bedroom or bathroom. The beds were very comfy and overall the lodge was clean apart from the headboards which were quite dusty. The hot tub was great.
The location is good being few minutes drive from Windermere and Ambleside and a short walk to Brockhole which has a jetty for the Windermere lake cruises. Would recommend.
My family enjoyed our weekend at Footprints.
After a slight issue with the hot tub on the first evening, everything was soon sorted out efficiently. We even witnessed a fly past by a Spitfire !! A comfortable , lodge in a great spot that always feels like home when we come here. This is our 6th visit to the lodge and is ideal for a late Summer/early Autumn break.
This is our 2nd time at this lodge with our 2 boys aged 12 and 15. The lodge is in a fantastic location so we could easily launch our kayaks and paddle boards and store them on the terrace when they weren't being used. The hot tub was a great addition for when we occasionally fell in the lake and had to warm up afterwards! The lodge is also only a 15 / 20 min walk from the Brockhole Visitor Centre which has lots of activities and you can catch the boat to Ambleside and Bowness. Recommended.
